Schools outreach

Within the faculty, we offer young people and schools a wide range of activities based around our core subject areas including chemistry, colour science, food science and nutrition, mathematics and physics.

Most of these events are advertised by email to teachers on our mailing list, but we also welcome requests for workshops, talks and visits. All the schools and departments in the Faculty can arrange visits for schools.

If you are interested in arranging a visit into your school or college, or you wish to register your school to receive information about forthcoming events, please send us your contact details, including full school name, contact teacher name and email address.

4-31 March 2017

Every year the University welcomes over 3000 pupils from across the region to take part in a wide variety of fun-filled activities, designed to inspire an interest in science and mathematics and show that exploring the world around you can be exciting and rewarding.

Most of these events are advertised by email to teachers on our mailing list, and on our website. If you are interested in attending an event, or you wish to register your school to receive information about forthcoming events, please send us your contact details, including full school name, contact teacher name and email address.

As well as activities on campus the programme will include a range of ‘roadshow’ activities that can be taken into schools. With the help of museums and other partners across Leeds, the festival also includes activities for families in and around the city.
